TAE40116 Certificate IV Training and Assessment

This qualification is the entry level for working as a trainer and assessor in the National Vocational Education and Training Sector.  This means you can work as a trainer assessor in a TAFE College or other Registered Training Organisation.  Many people who do this qualification are looking for a career change from “working on the tools” to training others on how to work on the tools.

TAEASS00014 Enterprise Trainer-Presenting Skills Set

This Skill Set provides the necessary skills and knowledge for people training under supervision in the VET sector, who work mainly in classroom situations.

It is suited to individuals who train others within a workplace. The training may be accredited or non-accredited. The role may involve some coaching at individual or small group level.

This Skill Set will enable you to:

Deliver training sessions for delivery in a range of workplace and formal learning contexts.

This includes individual and group instruction, planning the presentation and reviewing the presentation.

TAESS00015 Enterprise Trainer and Assessor Skill Set

This Skill Set is designed to provide VET practitioners with the assessor competencies to meet Standards for RTOs requirements.

It is suited to individuals wishing to obtain the assessment competencies to assess according to system requirements.

This Skill Set will enable you to:

Develop competencies that will enable you to contribute to the assessment process, plan and organise assessment activities and processes including Recognition of Prior Learning.

Assess the competence of candidates using different assessment pathways.

Participate in the assessment validation process.

These competencies are completed in the context of a competency-based assessment system.

 

TAESS00009 Address Foundation Skills in Vocational Practice Skill Set

This skills set is suitable for trainers and assessors whose purpose is to develop foundation skills in their learner group.  These units are elective units in the TAE Training and Assessment Training Package. They may be used to provide credit towards TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and the TAE50116 . These units may also be used as elective units within the flexibility provisions of a range of other vocational qualifications.

TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training and TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development are for senior or lead trainers and assessors.

This qualification may apply to leaders and managers in an organisation where learning is used to build organisational capability.  The qualification is delivered project based and is centred around a research project and implementation of innovative strategies to improve learning.

 

This qualification does not have to be delivered in a VET context and would be suitable for HR managers and educators who deliver in enterprises and schools.
